In 80 years, William Fisher invented the world's first control valve, and the Fisher valve brand was born. Eight years later, Fisher Regulator was founded. In 1992, Fisher joined Emerson and merged with Rosemount, which was also part of Emerson, to become Fisher-Rosemount. In 1999, Fisher-Rosemount acquired Westinghouse Process Control. Fisher-Rosemount is the world's largest and most comprehensive manufacturer of process control instruments, offering a complete set of process control systems from sensor-transmitter-controller-actuators and DCS.
